[alert style=”note”] This Premium WordPress Theme is now outdated and no longer for sale. 04/07/2013. [/alert]
I’ve been developing websites for several years now. I don’t consider myself a “code master” by any means, which is why I’m excited to tell you about a new way to create a website with WordPress. Over the years, I’ve been seeking an easy, turnkey, solution for the content management of my websites. One way is to have a custom WordPress website theme created, but the costs were outrageous, until now…
I’m excited to introduce to you a WordPress theme that will change your life:
Revolution WordPress Themes
Not only is the theme going to “revolutionize” the Premium WordPress theme industry, it’s also going to improve the ease of publishing websites for webmasters all over the world, which is just why I use this template over any other WordPress skin. Additionally, this magazine style WordPress theme is not a blog, but rather a great way to put up an entire website while using the WordPress Admin CMS.
Although the Revolution Themes by Brian Gardner are not free WordPress themes, they are very cheap, and certainly worth the pennies that it costs compared to the days of time it would take to create an equivalent theme. Each of these premium WordPress themes are XHTML compliant, increasing your odds of being ranked higher by Google, Yahoo, and MSN. Talk about a great kickback!
Basic Revolution Theme
The first theme that Brian Gardner has produced in his new collection of Revolution WordPress Themes. I downloaded and installed this theme the first day that it came out and used it for a client, who might I add is extremely happy with their website.
Use this WordPress theme to handle:
- Online Magazines
- Online Newspapers
- Church Websites
- Real Estate Agents
- Corporate Blogs
- Personal Blogs
- Photo Blogs
- Celebrity Blogs
- Affiliate Marketing
- WordPress MU Users
Custom themes can easily cost thousands of dollars, not to mention that you need to find somebody with the skills to create what you want. The basic revolution theme costs as little as $79.95 for single use, $199.95 for the multi-use package, and $249.95 for the developer’s package.
Revolution News Theme
This theme is great for anybody managing many sections of content on their website, especially a news website. As outlined in the example on the Revolution theme site, you can manage multiple sections such as World News, Politics, Business, etc. Keep in mind that these heading are all customizable for your particular business!
The Revolution News Theme begins at $79.95 for the single use package and $199.95 for the multi-use package. Brian Gardner has also agreed to give his loyal customers who purchased the Basic Revolution Theme a 25% discount!
Best WordPress Plugins for Revolution Theme
Using WordPress everyday has exposed me to quite a few extra features that are available. You can use WordPress plugins with Revolution Theme just like you can use it with any of Word Press theme. I’ve compiled a list of my favorite plugins for WordPress below.
Spam is bad, and the best way to battle against it is to keep your version of Akismet up to date. If you haven’t updated this pre-installed plugin to its newest version, it would be a good idea to check for updates.
The most important thing you should do when you have visitors coming to your site is know as much about them as possible. If you haven’t done so yet, just sign up for Google Analytics and enter your Google Analytics ID when the plugin requests you to do so.
Immediately tell Google that you’ve updated your website by installing this plugin. Extremely useful if you are running a website with time-sensitive information. I strongly believe that your content is crawled faster when Google knows about the update.
Personally, I hate the TinyMCE that comes with WordPress. It’s too simple, and doesn’t have the features that I require. With Advanced TinyMCE Editor, you’ll be able to add heading tags, citations, and many other advanced options for super users.
Ah, the cream of the crop. Why wouldn’t I recommend the BEST WordPress plugin for SEO on my website? This truly is the ultimate SEO plugin for WordPress, allowing you to easily add the META title, META description, and META keywords. In addition to that, this plugin features options such as adding “noindex” or “nofollow” tags to pages that you normally don’t want Google to crawl, such as your category parent pages (avoid duplicate content).
Cforms II (Advanced Contact Form)
If you want your users to contact you, but you want to keep the spammers at bay, then this is the ultimate solution. Although it requires more setup time than a typical plugin, the advanced features of Cforms II makes up for it in usability. Users can add multiple forms onto a single page, have multiple recipients, and style the forms however they want to.
Allows you to upload images from your computer and automatically resize them to a size of your choice. Also allows you to add a custom watermark to the bottom right of the image, keeping your images from being freely stolen.
A non-obtrusive way to allow your users to share your articles with others on social networking websites. Simply click “Share This” and a menu with options of sites will be presented to the user.
This isn’t really a plugin, but I recommend using it over the typical Atom RSS feed that is included with your WordPress site. You’ll get more advanced options including a better looking .xml interface.
